One of Europe’s Leading Concert Halls
ECHO calls itself the network of leading European concert halls, with Konzerthaus Dortmund joining the ranks as a member in 2012. The European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) brings together the 23 largest European concert halls at different levels and promotes exchange between these institutions to drive the development of the concert scene in the 21st century together. Schemes associated with this include the nomination of an excellent young musician as a »Rising Star«, awarding composition commissions to these musicians and supporting young talent beyond members of the ECHO network. ECHO has also joined the »Keychange« project that seeks to drive forward gender equality in the music world.
